Was handed this mixer down from my brother when i fist started mixing spnaish techno and uk hardcore and lasted me 2 years before the x fader broke, a bit later the channel did the same, but for about 4 years use all together thats amazing. I would recommend this to any DJ who doesnt want to get 2 confused as everthing is very simple but still looks great. The only down side would be the beat counter as they make no sense and dont work, but the light effect from them in the dark is great. Another good feature is the xpq surround, adds a slight echo and high tone pitched effect to all 3 channels. All in all a great mixer at great price, solid.

Best beginner mixer!

Firstly im calling it a beginner mixer because for £108 its very affordable and its not overloaded with professional features. Im 16 and have been bedroom DJing drum & bass and some rap since christmas. I started with a basic £200 turntable and mixer package, but the time soon came to upgrade my mixer as i desperatly needed 3 band EQ and a mic EQ for MCing. So after looking around at the Numark offerings and a few others, i finally decided to go for the Behringer VMX300 as it was cheaper than the others and with all the features i needed. I ordered it saturday night and it arrived tuesday morning and the first impressions were very good. The quality was outstanding and it came with a very user-friendly manual to explain all its features etc. So after plugging in my the 2 phono turntable leads and AUX lead to my hi-fi, i whacked a couple of heavy DnB tunes on to test it. At first i was a bit confused by all the switches but soon got the hang of it, the EQ is very good and can totally kill each band, as can the kill switches, now im not going to name every feature as you can just read them on the spec page, but i will say that each one works superbly, apart from, obviously, the beat counters which i just dont understand, but you cant say they're a waste of money cause this mixer is still cheaper than its rivals. So overall an excellent mixer and the perfect step-up from your basic 2 channel 2 band.

I normally DJ in clubs and live venues so I'm used to using top range in house mixers, I got this for a wedding I'm doing and its a really good piece of kit for the price and it shall come in handy for future events too

I was gonna buy a Numark DM1002 Mk II Mixer but a friend showed me the Beringher - I didn't like it's look at firt but when you open the box you can tell it's good. The Kill Switches, Reverse Switch and Curves are excellent - It does everything you want it to and more - The only bad thing is the Beat Counters but you don't need them anyway Buy it it's worth the money

The best available for the money

I am a house DJ and have been using this mixer for a good few months now, and for its purpose and market, it is excellent, good sound, great features and good useability, and the kills are great for switching bass lines! ok the beatcounters are pretty rubbish, but i dont use em, if i could change one thing i would recommend Behringer scrap the beat counters and sell it for £10 or £20 less. Even so for the money this is the best mixer around, i would def recommend it to anybody on this kind of budget

Excellent for value

Ive had this mixer for about a year now and i have to say that for the price of its brilliant the only downside is the beat counter which is almost useless and hardlt works. The x-fader is excellently stable and the channels are strong as can be. I would recommend this mixer to beginners who havnt got the biggest budget.

sexy cheap mixer

this mixer is very good for the price because the upfaders and cross faders are very good as well as the killer switches. the bpm counter is ok but not superb. The mixer just looks quality. i recommend it if you want a good mixer at a cheap price.

Worth buying if short on £££s

Nice mixer at a great price.. Has every thing you need minus effects!! Only thing i can say is that the bpm counters is useless but who needs them at the end of the day!!

The only thing i wish this had was some effects, but for this price that would be outrageous! This is a darn good mixer, the kill switches are great, hampster switch for x-fader and curve control on all faders aswell, awesome for scratching and mixing, booth and tape outputs and an effects output+return. You won't be dissapointed. If i had to give it a downside it would be the plastic faders dont feel as nice to scratch with as the neat little ones on say a vestax mixer. I wonder if you can get metal replacements....

I don't know what Behringer put into this mixer for the price but whatever it is it oozes quality. Superb sound, ultra smooth faders and two way kill switches to name just a few of the features that this beast has.
If you can't afford a top notch mixer like the Pioneers and Allen and Heaths of this world then you could do a lot, LOT worse than the VMX300

Quality sound & features. A joy to use

Unbelievable ! I've been mixing tunes longer than I care to remember, and have used a fair amount of Mixers in my time. Although I do not consider myself an expert by any stretch of the imagination, I cannot believe how good this mixer is. Quality build, super smooth and I mean "smooth" faders - curves of which are variable, Kill Switches that are clean and really do "kill", superb EQ, Gold plated outputs! It sounds beautiful honestly. I play House, Breaks, Drum & Bass, Funk, it sounds and mixes all styles well. If you're into "creative" mixing you'll love this mixer, the tap & hold kills and the effect unit(QRS - only one effect but very nice) allow for some "reconstructions" of your tunes. I've done one of my best sets with this beast and I've only had it 4 days! Considered Gemini, Vestax and Numark, went for for the VMX because it had 3 channels and the tap & hold kills like the Gemini which I love =)
I can't recommend it enough. How Behringer can make a mixer that sounds as good as this, with the features it has is beyond me. It sounds and feels like it should cost twice as much.

Fantastic, this mixer is pure quality. Everything feels right, from the fader to the kill switches. As the others have said the bpm counter is nearly always wrong, but occasionaly it can help. You will not get anything better than this for a £150.

This mixer is quality!!!! The bpm counter is so good (even if sometimes its wrong!) and the crossfader is perfect for scratching. Its a good size and the knobs aren't too fiddley

Fantastic Mixer

Got mine today and have been playing around with it and i must say that its just amazing.
Looks complicated but its really quite simple to use!
The crossfade is great and really smooth... ideal for scratching and well anything, volume faders are equally as smooth! just fantastic. The mixers a good size too and doesnt compromise by having tiny little knobs and faders... its all a decent size and easy to use.
Only problem i can find with the mixer is that the bpm counter is pants and pretty much always wrong but I dont use it anyway (use your ears) so thats not a problem 5/5!
