The best turntable I have owned
By: Philip Godwin

I'm no DJ, but when I had the oppurtuniity to buy a HiFi system again after many years of not having one, due to the fact that I had managed to keep my LP colection ( I hid it in my loft away from my first wife), I did not know where to start to look for a turn table. When I was able to buy the items I wanted, I came across this web sit. I looked through the turntables and chose the Stanton ST 150. I can not give this deck enough praze, It does exactly what I what it to do plus it does more. It is solid and very responsive with a very good sound from my LP's (I've even found out what is said on one of my LP's due to the reverse function). I can not find fault with this item, it does what I want it to do and more. 2009-06-30
Good deck if u realy no u wont spill anything on em!!
By: Kaos-Effect

I decided on the st150 as i did my research and found these were the new industry standard now over Technics so i decided on getting em, They are absulute jems But unfortunatly i missed an important part of Technics reviews where they said u can spill drinks on em nd they were still fine but i just asumed yer yer i aint gna let that happen..... wel bout 5 months later my mate knocked a glass of water over 1 and the pitch started jumping around like a kid on a trampoline nd its bin like it eva since,Im not sure if its because its digital or sumthing but for any1 thats woried About that I would suggest infesting in some realy reliable Technics like me now! 2006-03-11

A Competitor
By: Mark D

OK I'm into day 2 with these babies. This has been a great leap of faith after having been an SL1200 bigot for 15 years. As soon as I touched the st150 I felt quality. The powerful motor is certainly impressive. My first gripe is that the tonearm bearings came terribly adjusted - you could SEE the movement on the top bearing. Thanks to internet forums (and not Stanton) I was able to find instructions on how to set the adjusting screws correctly. The Japs would never let a machine of this calibre leave the country with such poor QA. These things are made in Taiwan and designed in the US. In use, I've been very pleased with all the essential aspects. The placement of the reverse button did however prove problematic. If you're like me you tend to rest your hand gently while adjusting the pitch. Yes, i managed to accidentally kick the thing into reverse a couple of times last night at a gig. Luckily it wasn't live. I guess this could be a serious flaw if i don't learn to keep my chunky hand away from that button. Finally, just a thought about the finish. It looks neat, feels neat (though unnecessarily heavier than the 1200), but it just doesn't have the quality of finish that the 1200 has. In concluding, this is a very high quality deck which essentially outdoes the 1200 as far as a basic deck is concerned. In historical terms Stanton haven't given us a revolution. Here we have an excellent alternative to the legend however the legend does indeed live on. 2005-10-21
better than you would expect
By: graham anderson

These decks are very high quallty, the only problem is Technics are even higher, with there more accurate motor, reputition, attention to detail and very high quality design and materials, and made in japan. My pal has a pair of st150s and I'd mixed on them for months, then i got technics. My first go on technics and I thought I should of got st150 instead because i was still use to them that changed after a few hours when i noticed the tighteness in beatmatching in 1210's. St150 are far better than I expected still not better than technics 2005-04-30
Very Nice Decks
By: Kos

Im Technics Through & Through, Been DJing For 9 Years Now & These Have Been The Only Decks Ive Played On That Come In The Same League As 1210s. The Only Problem Is The Pitch Buttons Could Have Been Better Positioned. Appart From That. This Deck Is Awesome. 2004-11-22

Some very good advantages over techinics but still not better
By: a barnes

These decks are top quallity and you can tell as soon as you use them and see them that there brill. Before buying take these points into consideration: 1 Stanton are slightly better for scratching due to better tone arms more power and better cartridges that come with them. They also have better sound quallity and replacable signal cabels with them. / Technics are better for mixing due to the fact that they have more accurate motors and more accurate pitch control. They don't host the amazing power 150's do but they do have amazing accuracy which you will notice. stantons wiould be much better the stantons pitch jumps up in stages of about 0.09 percent but (still amazingly accurate) technics pitch goes up at 0.02 percent. when your skill develops and you are extreemly accurate this means that with technics you can beat match with more precise but its a pretty even battle between the 2 top decks. I use technics but i would'nt mind a pair of stantons instead. 1 more point ministry of sound have installed the stantons but in the milkshake club event which is hip hop so involves heavy scratching. Its a real shame stanton couldnt of downgraded on the power to provide more accuracy. 2004-10-14
Thanks technics
By: prodj

Like to take the time to thank technics for their legendary decks what i grew up using and what changed the standards of turntables across the world. Also like to say goodbye to technics (with respect)at least the turntables they produce hope they will be bounce back with something better some day. 3 of the 7 clubs that i dj at have employed stanton decks. These outdo technics quallity in every sense. Maybe's technics deserved it for not keping up with there competitor's but never the less they will always be remembered as ledgends 2004-09-10

brilliant stuff
By: GratZki

very nice, i dare say! stanton have once again launched a high quality monster DJ instrument onto the market that's raising eye-brows!
the looks are gorgeous, the preformance beats the technics by miles on end, and the price is a little more kind compared to the technics!
not yet beating scratch performance of the vestax pdx-2000, they definetly beat the vestax by looks, torque strength and the controlled start/stop knobs. 2004-01-20
