Very good Build And Features bomb proof construction a little bit of drift..
By: Marcus Harmon

These are very good decks if your into drum and bass or hip hop however for the clubby tech house sounds when you are in the middle of a mix they drift sometimes however i am more than happy with mine they are great i just dropped them 1 star beacause of the drift which i dont find on technics once you match the beat on mk5s it stays there effortlessley..all in all though Very happy ... 2009-09-29
Best Decks period.
By: Mr Mr

Wow! What can I say. These are by far the best decks I have ever used. Ive got the mk1's (older stanton logo) STR8 150s. Ive had them for about 6 years and nothing has gone wrong with them. The only point to watch out for is to learn how to tighten the tone arm(properly) as it will eventually become wobbly after a few years of use. These are the best decks with world as to offer. period. 100% human only mixing - Spin Vinyl 2008-05-09
thorough
By: jason c francis

if you get a good power lead and a decent cartridge / arm set up correctly with good phono analog/ digital leads..this machine is awesome . And can stand up to Audiophile turnatbles much more expensive without breaking a sweat . 2008-01-22
Dont even bother looking elsewhere!
By: Jay

This turntable is outstanding! No matter how aggressive you are with your mixing the tone arm just sticks where it should and doesnt move an inch! I have used Technics 1210's and it felt as if I had to be extra carefull with them due to the build. These as soon as you get them out of the box you know its quality all the way! A must for any seriuos DJ that is going to use the turntables reguler! 2007-03-06
amazing ... best out
By: azz

im giving 5 out of 5 , for these , got a pair few weeks ago , shit hot !! amazing , kik technics right out !! ok so technics are industry standard !! but these decks are twice as good !! if your after the best quality and pretty loaded , then i suggest u get some of these.... 2006-02-22
wo mamma!
By: daz

i had 1210s to start with, ok but i coud'nt do anything with them, i was always on +8. then i had the citronic ultima pd45...wicked deck, beats techs hands down but i wanted something with a bit of class about them so i sold them and got these bad boys...awesome! everything the ultima has and more, classy and could catapult the mk5g(bla bla bla)off the map. these are well ahead of the latest technics. trust me! im a dj. 2005-09-27
Flawless
By: El' Funk

Absolutely amazing turntables. I have played on 1210's regularly but would definately choose these over them. You get everything that the 1210 gives you and more. Also built like a brick sh*t house! 2005-08-26
Better than 1210's
By: Craig Heard

Theres no doubt that these decks are the best on the market for mix control. 1210's are nothing on these badboys. The only reason i'm giving 4 out of 5 is because i've had mine a year and i need to get it serviced. 2005-08-19
Best in the world
By: Liam D Nicoll

Just to set the record str8(no pun intended!) these are the best decks in the world! The only down side is that they are so good that when you play in a club on 1210's you feel like you are disabled! These decks pamper you more than CD Decks! Amasing Stanton, Well Done! 2005-03-26
sound quality/build/features second to none!
By: steve carroll

one word.... AWESOME!. technics are good, but ultimatly, reputation aside, these are a cut above! its a bit like the mini car. the original is awesome, a design classic and loved by die hards everywhere, but....theres no denying the new car is better in every way!. stop being stuck in your ways and buy these. i wanted the best i could get for my money. review after review led me to buy these stantons, and i dont regret it one bit. BELEIVE THE HYPE! 2005-03-05
Way better than the Technics!
By: Zaidstone

As decks go, this is well sorted. Ok, we all know the short arm geometry is sonically inferior to the 's' shaped arm on the technics series or even stantons own st-150 but, it just won't skp, jmp or lmp! Just fit some pickering carts and rool! 2004-11-28
hey techies! Try 'em! you might like em ;)
By: BEZZ

Got these 3 days ago and woah what a turntable, tried them out before hand and was blown away!built like a castle and the torque's amazing.
was reading the comments on the technics with many mixed emotions, some saying technics are still the best and others saying these are the new industry title holders, personally i feel the technics have lagged behind and not kept on top of the market...(remember that old fasioned pram company? That went bust coz off the new fold away ones?)...which has lead to this beast...many stuburn hold outs on the technics side slating these for having "too much torque" and "you have too wrestle them" is bulls**t, the torque keeps you on top of your mix and like a comment before inspires confidence...
the only reason technics have been the industry leaders is bcoz they never had to compeat with other turntables when they were first prodcued...every dj should just give them a go!...all my technics buddies are converted! ;) 2004-09-30
Click the Line Out put switch not the Phono one! then plug it into the line input of ya mixer :-)
By: Jamie

Ignore my last review, i had the wires rugged up wrong in the back, the key lock does work after all :-p 2004-09-30
Cool As F * * K!
By: Jamie

Just got these today but they are a hell of a deck! The main reason im giving them a 4/5 is because the key lock feature on mine doesnt seem to be working?? eather im tone deaf or the things crap.. anyhow its better than any 1200's!! 2004-09-02
Quality and reliable
By: Danny Scott

I had a pair of Stanton str8-80's for over two years and was very happy with them until I had a go on some technics. I was amazed at the stability and hold of the technics and new it was time for an upgrade. I pondered over a lot of the high end decks and reluctantly chose the 150's. Before they came I was concerned about the sort of accuracy and hold they would have. Opened these babies today and I'v never felt anything like it. The heaviest turntable I'v every held and built like a dream. Packed with excellent features and the hold and strength of the engine is just amazing. Technics dont even come near it for me and iv tried em. Its time to move on people and these are the way foward. 2004-05-14
***** Star

My girlfriends gone, this is far sexier!
By: Rich S

i woke up this morning to the sound of the postman trying to carry one of these to the door!
(couldnt afford both at the same time) , got it out of the box and first thing i noticed was the heavy platter-good sign. got the deck out, very cold very heavy block of metal, set it up and put it on, and it works like a dream. i had PD1s before and this is a massive change. admittadly i havent had much experience (the only other top end deck that ive tried being the 1210), but this beats all decks ive tried hands down. it feels like u could throw it out of a moving car and it would surive, it sounds and performs brilliantly and is cheaper than the dusty techs- get these! u wont be dissapointed 2004-04-26
Truly Amazing!!
By: Alex Lark

Just had a set of these this morning from djstore. Not only are these decks truly amazing but at a very low price!! Very powerful and strong motor, nice smooth pitch control with no dip at 0%. These decks are built to last. 10 times better than the 1210's, it's just got to be said. Get yourself a set today, you will not be disapointed. Thanks djstore!!! 2004-04-19
Brutal power, yet refined
By: MJH

Having tested the STR8 150, the TTX1 and the MK5 recently, the Stanton wins for me. It's a real heavyweight, with a massive (noticeable) power advantage, but still manages to be refined. The platter is stable and inspires confidence. Having recently retired a pair of Vestax PDX1s, you'll need to take a firm hand with this deck to make subtle changes to the platter - this takes some getting used to. Hawever, once you get to grips with this power shift, the Stanton is a pleasure to run long mixes with.
Just one thing to consider, though. There is a little delay (perhaps expected) between the needle pick up and audio (though the speakers) in line mode. I also felt the audio signal was a little compressed compared to the 'pure' analogue phono out. Also, don't be fooled, the key lock feature is limited in its use.
All the high end decks are superb machines and it is a matter of personal taste (and pocket!) which one you go for. If like me you prefer the skip-resist properties of the straight arm and want a deck that's built like a tank then the Stanton will meet your requirements at a competitive price. However, we will have to wait and see if this solid build stands up over time. 2004-01-11
It's Da bEsT DeCk oN ThE MaRkEt
By: Dj fReEzE

Any one who thinks that technics still make the best decks is either cluless, a snob or over the age of 30. This deck is better than anything you will see for a very long time. It has better build quality and scratch capabilities than the vestax, it's more robust than the technics and it has more torque and features than the numark's. The only thing this deck needs is a reputaion like the technics have got. This deck embarasses technic's. It's da best deck on the market by far. And any1 who argues that it's not good for mixing house should just buy the s-arm version. 2003-11-23
Outstanding!
By: Dave Rascal - Hardhouse/Funky House DJ

These decks are the way forward! My 1200's are going on ebay soon as! Tried these the other day and fell in love with them. Are solid as you like, look and feel amazing. Technics need to step up about another 5 steps to get their current contender anywhere near these babies! Try these out! U will pee ya pants!! 2003-09-23
buy these they are really worth it.
By: dj anton

I have just recently bought a pair of the 150s, i sold me technics mk5s, the new stanton are really good value for money they do everythink u could ever want a deck to do and also they can be used as standard if u wish. they are the heaviest decks iv ever known and they are perfect in ya room. there are two things you look for in a deck, 1 good solid platter, 2 plenty of torque, this deck has all these features. although stanton havnt had the best range of decks before, they have certainly changed things around with this.
