The Technics SL1210MK5G Turntables
By: Dj brierley

Its now 1 year that I'm mixing with the Technics SL1210MK5G turntables and I have nothing bad to say about them! They are just outstanding (perfect for D&B) I recomend them to all dj's ho want some thing serious, maby a litle expensif but they will last you for years. 2006-12-19
Like no other, Technics is well known for a reason
By: Adam J

Ive only had these decks about 2 months but they are like nothing ive ever used, my mate has the stanton st-150's and they blow them away with the amazing feel and accuracy, the +16 pitch has proved to be essential in the scouse scene maybe not so much in other styles. It is alot of cash to part with but from the minute you use them to the second you walk away you will always be assured that it was money well spent with the confidence and enjoyment that these decks give you.

Thanks again to DJ Store your service is second to none, fast delivery and no problems with the order. 2006-04-07
Cannot go wrong
By: lucid

wicked..had these about a year now and cannot fault.
my mixing has improved ten fold since i ditched the belt drives. Now playing out to a good standard. Expensive but so are all good things in life. DjDopey has vestax, ttx1's and stantons in his living room for him and his kronies to cane on....The mk5g are in his bedroom for his own personal use....nuff said 2005-12-18
Nothing Beats These Babys!!
By: DJ Jack Ashcroft

Technics are the industry standard and will always be the industry standard. They feel so smooth and are so simple to use! and with modifications such as 16% pith range it makes it so much better..and I have to say they look so god dam sexy. The MK5G's really are the king of all decks!! Thanks once again dj store. 2004-08-02
overpriced....but worth the extra
By: dj ransta

im givin these 4 out of 5, if they werent over priced they'd get 5 from me. IMO if ur wantin to play at a venue then grab urself sum of these badboys. If ur gona jus sit in ur room or do houseparties then go for one of the other makes since they hav more functions and can be more fun! I wanted 1210s but more than 8% pitch range so dats y i got these. I kno they r expensive but wen u kno u wont hav to buy another deck to replace it an that ur grandson will probably use em...who cares! plus ther limited edition an probably wont lose much value if u need to flog em 4 some cash. Nice 1 djstore for the speedy delivery aswel ;) 2004-07-18
see the light!
By: Keeno

Fair play to all those people who pick the TTx's or the Vestax etc top of the range stuff, for a lot less than these babies. It's nice to have 50% pitch range, master tempo, and pretty lights n stuff. However, if you want the most reliable and responsive look no further. All technics rivals look the business, and offer loads of cool features but nothing FEELS as good as this, it's like it can read your mind or sumat. No annoying slow down or sensitive pitch adjustment like on my old Numarks. It does excactly what you want it to do. A little overpriced though? maybe...but I think it's worth it. 2004-07-15
If you can afford it...... Buy it!
By: Bloggy

Just got me self one of these beauties as a third deck! The gloss black look finishes the deck off well! ;)

The usual Technics 1210 build quality is still there (No suprise really!). Also after the hundreds of years these things have been around they have decided to add some new features.

The only downer is the price, too be honest a SL 1210MK2 is almost identical for £350. £125 is alot of money for not alot more! Cause of that I can only give this deck 4 out of 5!

I just wanted one of each! :) 2004-06-09
The best pro turntable in the world!!!
By: daniel emerson

Dont Listen to people who slag of these decks. Fair enough they are overpriced but you are paying for the best manufacturer in the world at what they make. All the parts of this deck are made from aluminuim and once you get two records together, they stay together. Some people have said that the cables are a problem because they are fixed, all you need is a phono female/female adapted to extend the cable or to use 1/4 inch jacks if you are connecting to a mixing console, like me. These decks look bloody amazing, feel so comfortable and will last at least 10 years easy. I dont see any other deck that has lasted as long as technics and used in most probable 90% of the world. Buy them, you will not regret it. 2003-11-10
Great apart from fixed cables
By: Edge

These decks are extremely well crafted and worth the money as they are so reliable. The only real hang up i have about them is the cables are non detachable, shame but still the best decks on the market so i bought 'em. Don't touch the vestax as they are the flimsiest decks out there and as for the new stantons only time will tell how reliable they are. These decks have alround quality you can justify spending good money on, ask real djs. 2003-11-03
Expensive and underpar features for the price, but still well good.
By: Physicist

Solid, smart and reliable. These decks are very very good. Perhaps not challenging the functions and gadgetary that vestax and stanton have to offer and is overpriced for what technics give you. However, on playing you do realize why technics are the world's highest selling decks, as they are a joy to mix and scratch with, and they -/+ 16 blows open mixing with different genres. 2003-10-03
Best Decks Avaliable
By: Kemikal

Got these beauties bout may time, and wot can i say.yes they are expensive but... The torque could b approved but they still have a quality start up. 16+ pitch great 4 mixing differnt genres and scratching. Features like the 6 gram anti-skate and headshell weight makes these virtually skip free. And if it's anything 2 go by, if u think anything can beat these then why do dmc use em'. Dmc dj's dont complain. You shouldnt. Technics live on. 2003-09-18
Standard technics deck...
By: DJ Igan

Good decks, really solid (dont expect anyless from technics). There *are* overpriced. The +/-16% is really useful for all those genre-crossing mixes. Not really worth the cash tho, MK2's (or MK3's) will do the EXACT same job, and for a lot less... 2003-09-15
Stick to the 1210 mk2 !! theres little or no difference
By: Mark

Far Far Farrrrrrr over priced!!!! 16% pitch: not needed, think about it. Fancy lights: Not needed!!!! Total waste of cash!!! 2003-08-31
These Decks have been around long ENOUGH!!!!!
By: DJ SLIMZEE (roll deep)

The technics sl1210 mk 5g's r good decks but for the money they are quite simply the worst decks in the world. Technics have made no attempt to claim back the market, instead they have just uped the price and put some blue lights on the decks. The stantons are sooo much betr than these decks and they are cheaper. These decks have been around long enough!!!!! Which is too long! 2003-05-23
if you want the best this is it
By: Gary Barton

The old dog still has some life left, technics have final decided to challange vestex etc, the introduction of a 16+ pittch is great, the deck is solid as ever, my club has just has these installed after the mks did 15 yrs with out a hitch. Only time will tell if 1210 remain leader of the dj kingdom.
