I use these at a local venue. I would say they are the easiest players to use and I found I mastered them after my first set! If your looking for a cheaper option to the CDJ I would recommend 2007-02-13
Well designed piece of machinary

I bought a pair of these from this site just before Christmas. I'm fairly new to mixing but these are absolutely great to learn the trade on. They provide all the features one could need for most live performances and certainly for learning the trade. The looping function is great and allows for fine control of your loops. The buttons are tactile and highly responsive. 2007-01-30

Bought a pair of these 2 month ago and they are brilliant. I have been dj`in for over 6 years and these are some of the best ive used. Bui;lt in effects are really good and effective. Also the scratchin is very useful if not only for pull backs etc. The only little bug bear is how cheap the scratch platter feels. The whole unit is made of thin plastic. But unless u start striking it with a hammer they are excellent. 2006-10-04

This product is great! For this price: you wont get any better than yhis! The platter is small and easy to use. The effects are cool and easy, and a loop wasn't ever that easy! The bitch bend i a little slow but it works. BIG PLUS: The MP3 support! Just dump a whole lot of MP3's on a disc and you are done for a looong time.
so: for someone who doesn't want to spent a fortune of money to buy a cd mixer: BUY THIS ONE!

I've had these for a quite a while. I mix house and breaks and I don't use the scratch function much. The jog wheel is excellent for speed adjustment when it's on bend. The sampler and filters are really user friendly too. The only thing I think could be improved is the pitch resolution. Baisically I've found they need to be on +- 4 to be able to really lock into a mix. 2006-01-16

for the price i was very disapointed, the wheel platter has a cheap feel to it and the scratch feature seems to make its own mind up when using it. the effects are usefull and the bend and echo tabs are good but for this price i wanted something more stable and professional looking, this product shouldnt be missed but if a bedroom dj wants the feel of vinyl mixing digitally then go for the cdj800 2006-01-03

Excellent value deck. It's compact but solid, the effects are pretty good (except the digital scratch which is a bit pants) and the loop functions are really easy to use and good fun to play with for a bit of live re-editing. The scratch wheel has a good feel to it and can be used to pitch bend when beatmatching instead of the +/- buttons, or to fade effects in or out. MP3 compatibility is very useful, you can get bags of tunes on a single MP3 disc and the cd text display makes it easy to find the right tune every time. All in all a quality little piece of kit at a good price. 2005-12-15

These decks are awesome. They come in a nice small package, the finish on the units is superb they have a nice solid feel. These babies have performed so well for me, i have not had one problem to date, they are ultra reliable and come with a tone of features, like echo, flnage, and filter, and they also support mp3 which is very convenient for me. The dns 1000's are definatley the best decks in it's class no doubt about it. 2005-11-17

worth the money, but expected better from denon

i've had these decks 4 over 6 months now, i feel i've had enough time to get a feel 4 the rights and wrongs! firstly the effects are great, however the scratch sounds distinctly digital and nothing like its bigger brothers, the dns 5000's and 3500's! its impossible to beatjungle, and backspinning either goes to fast or so slow!
the pitch is great however sometimes it hust fails to match completely, but i guess having the pitch bend helps! with those down sides in mind there is not much else it has great effects and plays mp3's (a big plus) they are small and compact and can be taken anywhere! all in all a great deck to start your djing on, but if u have the money invest in the 3500's or the new numark cdx!! 2005-10-21

These are fantastic for the price, they'd be fantastic if they were a £100 dearer! The jog wheel has a great feel to it, you can also use it to wind in and out the effects (Phasing,Filter , echo). Hit the scratch option and you can chuck in a spinback. The deck will start and slow or run in reverse and it sounds 100% like vinyl.
Just a small negative, MP3s are more likely to skip than audio CDs. Just make sure you use a fresh disk every now and then to prevent this.

Top Player from Denon

Ive had one of these since december 04 and believe me its Very Very good especially for the price.

Many see these as budjet decks and tend not to think about buying them, dont be fooled by the small price tag, thats denons way of giving you a good deal and not ripping you off like others.

These little things boast quite a few features, they are dead easy to use and are really really small, i am not a mobile dj, but a club dj and i use these @ home as i have little space.

Buy Em there well good

If you are really unsure which to get i suggest visiting the Denon Dj Fourm @ www.denondjforum.com and read some of the posts on there then make your minds up. 2005-02-03

This product was laughed at by so many Radio and club jock's, that I just had to try one out, I did, and now those guy's aint laughing no more!,. these players are the best thing to happen to mobile DJ'ng 2004-10-13

Had one of these little beauties for a only few days and they have been an instant hit. I thought the change from vinyl to cd would be a great one but after usin these im thinkin of gettin rid of my vinyl all together. The onboard effects and easy to use, pitch control is good, but the major selling point has to be the mp3 playback. You can store near on 150 songs on one cd!!! beats lunging round tons of vinyl any day
