Cracking bit of kit!

Outstanding quality for the price you pay. This is a really rugged piece of kit, although quite simple, will see you through every gig you throw at it. There are clearly better CD players on the market, but none in this price range that provides such good quality. Playback is smooth, never skipped a beat. Would be nice if it had MP3 compatibility, but again, that is usually included with the higher spec and more expensive players. Can't complain at this price, order one today, you wont be let down! 2007-06-28

I've had this twin cd player for about a year now. It's been bashed about, transported in all angles possible in a flight case and it still works perfectly! It has to be the single piece of equipment i've used so many times and it still lives up to it's original expectations. Well done Numark! 2006-11-29
Good for entry level DJs

I strongly recommend beginner DJs and mobile DJs to buy this piece of hardware. Had these decks for just over a year and only had a few problems with them. The first is on one side the laser is beginning to wear out and takes a long time to load CDs and the other is that the decks are very basic and after a certain length of time, you are limited to what you can do with these decks.
They work wonderfully when mixing and will miss them dearly when I get the upgrades to these! Definately recommended for entry-level decks! 2006-11-28

ive used a high number of dual cd players over the years, this is up there with the best of them and at a shocking price

ideal for mobile discos, good quality and highyly reliable, it dosnt have antishock but a bit of foam soon helps this

Perfect and extremely affordable.

I bought these nearly two years ago with a CM200 mixer (that djstore do as a bundle). I've fitted it all into a flight case and used it at a variety of different places as well as at home.

While basic (no effects, digital scratch etc) these players are perfect for what they do - they're very easy to mix with, very responsive, and mine have taken a lot of punishment without breaking.

Further to the comments someone else has made about jumping - I've never been able to get mine to jump... ever. I wondered before getting these whether or not I should get the CDN-32s (similar, but with plastic buttons instead of rubber and with an anti-shock), and I'm glad I didn't fork out for them... 2005-07-01

Ive had these CD Decks for about 6 month now so thought I'd leave a review. I give them 5 out 5 for the simple reason, they work, and they work well and for the price they are amazing. Although they dont have features such as loop etc, you can mix on them.

The only problem Ive had (which Ive seen mentioned in the reviews a few times) is the pitch reverting back to zero for no reason. Although this has only happened once. If your n a budget and want to introduce CD's to your set up, you cant go wrong with these. :) 2005-06-23
Solid piece of equipment for use at home or in semi professional environment

I use this player in my home studio for radio production. It has everything onboard for basic use, without any useless rubish. Solid piece of equipment for use at home or in semi professional environment and very affordable as well. But I guess when you plan to use it in rough conditions, like discotheques and radio studios where not everybody treats the equipment with as much respect as they should, it’s better to go for something a bit more up-market. The shuttle wheel for instance works a treat, but feels somewhat flimsy. Some other critical notes: access time when you load a CD is a bit slow and the remote start uses a 5 volt pulse. Having a mixer that only produces a short contact to ground for fader start opperation, I had to build a separate unit to supply the 5 volt trigger. On the positive side: It starts very very fast (When queuing up a CD I have to give it a few frames extra to allow for the time it takes to throw the fader) and it also is very very affordable!!! 2005-05-01
Good solid CD Player

Generally good quality, good for mixing! however after 2 years i've began to get a few problems: on 1 side the pitch automatically turns itself to zero but only happened twice, and also takes time to read cd on the same side, plus it can skip abit on the same side, but it has been good for me over the past 2 years, and i would recommend to any 1 2005-02-10
Great but a couple of niggles after 6 months

I posted a 5 out of 5 review here just after I bought my set, and my comments still stand, however now that I have been using them for about 6 months, I have noticed a few things: 1stly, some of the buttons have become quite hard to press. This can be annoying in the mix when you're trying to start a cued track and I've often missed a crucial cue point because the play button didn't fire (or sometimes double fired). 2ndly, the case is very sensitive to shock, once to the point where I put a coffee cup down next to it and the CD skipped. I've never used them in a proper club but I can imagine shocks off the dancefloor or speakers could potentially cause trouble. Lastly, once or twice the pitch has just reset itself to zero for no apparent reason in the middle of a song or while I'm mixing. This is extremely annoying, as it will completely ruin your mix before you even realise what's happened. That said, it's only done it a couple of times, and could just be mine that’s faulty.

But, all in all this is a fantastic bit of kit, and you will not find a better product for the price, or for some way above it. If you are looking for entry-level decks, these are still the ones to get. 2005-02-02

Good set of Decks - You can feel the quality. Instant start really is instart start. Jog wheels are brilliant. Cue function works super too.
I'd recommended for beginners, but after a month im getting a bit tired of the lack of capabilites. I need the extra's to push the CD mixing up a level.
But if budgets your thing, this is a great piece of machinery 2004-09-19
Effective, great, easy to use

I'm very satisfied with this CD player.
It has the feeling of good quality and the features you need. It's perfect for mixing house and club. The design is nice and the display very easy to read and use. I strongly recommend this to any dj, beinner or pro.

It's lack of features as effects and stuff may seem boring, but i really don't look for that in a cd player. Go for a Kaoss pad or effects mixer if you want such things. 2004-09-06

Recently recieved these decks by mail order. Having never mixed with CD before, I am impressed by how well they work. If you're looking for flashy features then this isn't the system for you, but for basic, easy-to-use professional CD mixing, you can't go wrong with these. 2004-07-09

Brilliant - A great intro into CD Mixing

Having already got decks this was my first CD purchase - what can I say - fantastic - great for home mixing and parties / weddings etc - .Well built, great quality, cant fault them at all a great introduction into CD mixing, only downside is - well there aint one - oh yes - now if they had anti shock they would be perfect, 2004-06-21

I recently bought this product for a simple way to mix cds alongside my decks. It is very well priced and is really easy to mix with. Eventually i will get a pioneer cd deck but until then this has got everything i need for a good solid basic cd deck. No problems with it at all - does exactly what it says on the label, and it does that well. 2004-04-15

Great entry level CD player from a brand name with plenty of previous exprience. Although it doesn't have dozens of fancy features (which most people are unlikely to use) , it does have the basics, which it does very well. Used without problems for many hours. Well recommended. 2004-01-28
