Good budget mixer

This is a great mixer for the money, I've used one for around six years. The cross fader does crackle after some time and sound will bleed through from the channel you've mixed out of, but that's to be expected for this price range. It's sturdy and has survived a few house parties. Only problem as mentioned by someone else is that the level meter doesn't show the volume of the cued track.. 2007-10-28

This is potentially a very effective mixer except for the endurance of the crossfader. I've been using it for a month and the xfader was crackly after 2 weeks and now it has worn completely with less than 2 hours usage per day. 2006-10-17
Still Outstanding

I bought one of these babies about 2 and a half years ago, and I'm still using it as my main mixer today.

The quality is nothing less than fantastic. I've bumped this one around a fair bit, and the only thing thats giving me a bit of trouble now is the headphone socket, you have to wiggle it around a bit sometimes to get sound in both ears. The crossfader is a teeny bit crackly now too, but my mate is a fantastic scratch DJ and he's been whipping it solidly at parties atc for the last 2 years.

I've mixed on lots of other mixers and the quality of this one is so much better than many higher priced units.

It is obviously a basic mixer. There are no effects or cue level meters for example, but it is hands down the best basic mixer I know of. The kill switches are a fantastic idea (I don't know why these arn't on more mixers??), it has two crossfcader curve settings (vital if you're going to be scratching), and even a crossfader on the headphone cue so you can test out your mix in your headphones before you do the real thing.

Outstanding work, Numark. If you're looking for a budget mixer, you cannot do better than this one. 2005-04-13

Bluddy excellant mixer for the money. The quality felt outstanding as i took it out the box and when i got it all set up i couldnt leave it alone. I upgraded from a dm950 and the faders etc are so much smoother! Get it if your upgrading or startin out!

good mixer 4 the money got a lot use out of it. recomend it to any begginer or low budget semi-pro bedroom dj.the only thing i found wrong with it is the cue volume isnt very loud at its highest. 2004-12-31
Works for me

I got this mixer as part of a package as a beginner. Ive found it easy to use and 6 months down the line it hasn't let me down and i wouldnt consider replacing it for some while yet. I have used other mixers since starting out and i have to say it usually wins hands down and for the price of things out there i dont think i could have spent my money more wisely 2004-09-06
Top notch budget hardware

Excellent value for money. This mixer is sturdy and well refined and has all the main features you will need, the kill swiches being particularly useful. Only gripe is you cant see the sound levels of the track you're cueing on the led meter, which makes setting the gain slightly tricky, but this negligible really. Buy this one - you will not find a better way to spend this amount of money. 2004-07-07

For £89 you can't wrong with this mixer, trust. Been played out at house after house n still is advanced enough (kills, tone controls, gain monitors n transforms) and yet easy to use to allow djs of all calibres to play out. A pleasure to use, won't find better for under a ton me thinks! 2004-03-19
Pick this Up

Excellent scratch mixer for the entry level dj. It's easy to use with nice features (kill switches, fader reverse, etc.). If you're a beginner and thinking about picking up a different mixer... don't. Get this one; you won't be disappointed. 2004-03-10
A sick mixer!

good value, more suited for beginners
