I've had mine for 3 years, and not one single problem with it. Been using it at least 2-3 times a week. I'm going to be getting a Numark 5000FX, simply because i need more channels, and i hope all numark mixers are built like the DXM06 that i have. i truly commend this mixer.

when i was looking in to starting mixing i was playing round on my other friends decks, and although i knew my way rounds turntables and cdjs, the thing i was really struggling with was using other peoples mixers. I Tried my friends dxm 06 and fell in love straight away. the layout is clean, far cleaner than others id tried. only a small thing but by having the eq's horizontally across the mixer instead of veritcally, your hands can actualy flow across the knobs. the other important thing is that you dont have to fidle around clicking buttons to assign your cure track in the mixer- its done on a smaller fader on the top of the mixer instead of the front (no knocking it mid set then)which makes it SUPER easy to bleed a track in for monitoring.
Of course the effects are stunning for the price. A little confusing at first but the amusing instruction booklet even gives you some handy tips on how to use them to get the best sound out of them. the beat sinc/ manual adjust is a nice touch, but before you tame the effects they can be a bit crazy.
my only gripe is that the headphone volume could be a little louder- found it tricky to hear clearly on a proper rig even at full volume.
all in all a great mixer with all the features, without jostling for space like a swiss army knife and for a great price. Perfect for begineers up to pros.

very very fine mixer, particularly at this price, but it competes with those mixers of twice the price! well worth it. brilliant for the house/ dance dj. Perhaps not swift enough for the turntablist, but excellent for anything else!

What can i say! I've been mixing for 2 years now and this is my third mixer. To be honest this is by far the best mixer if u r just starting 2 mix. Mixers of this quality dont cum this cheap so i would buy this now if ur a beginner looking for sum style! Ive had the DXM 06 for 6 months now and it still has all round quality. Dont hesitate to buy this!!

Good, but crap for sratching

Good mixer. My flatmate owned one so we sued it for many months as the main mixer in our house set up. Effects were spot on, sound quality (being digital) is notably better than an analogue mixer...
BUT...
If you are a scratch DJ you WILL be disappointed. Because the crossfader is digital, there is a slight delay so it's useless for scratching.
But if you're not planning anything as rough as that for your new DXM06 then buy one now!

What can I say!
Since hearing Paul Taylor hammering the flanger and phaser at Retro I had to get myself something like that.
I had the official DMC battle mixer from Technics, the SH EX1200.
I like Numark stuff, they make their stuff of high standard. I didn't expect this.
I read some complaints about people feeling lost with this mixer. I got the feel for it within 2 minutes.
The effects are amazing and better than some other mixers I have heard, Beringer, Pioneer etc. With it being digital there is no hissing or fuzzy noise whatsoever.
The EQ control is spot on and the crossfader is an absolute dream. This is the best mixer I have had in my posession in the 14 years I have been mixing.

Well I had this mixer since september and have just sold it today...I can't really say it was the mixer for me...Build quality was good but layout is crap...If you're going to play out in clubs and can't afford a pioneer then go for a beringer instead...You wont feel so lost infront of loads of mashed up folk...

Superb mixer, cant fault it

This mixer is absolutely fantastic. I cant really comment on its durability because i've had it since December, but features and design wise, it's stunning. Like a lot of people I started out with the DM950 package and looked to upgrade that after about a year. I was impressed by the build of my numark gear given the price so i chose another numark mixer thinking that i wouldnt be let down in that respect. I wasnt wrong, the DXM06 is brilliantly put together and well set out, after about an hour of playing with it to begin with i was using it like my old DM950.
I bought it thinking that for the price i was getting a great mixer, never mind the effects. I wasnt sure how much I'd use them - but once you start, you cant stop! They really do that extra something to your mixes and after a month or so you get used to dropping in some echo or phaser at points in your set.
Overall a brilliant mixer, no problems whatsoever and the effects are the icing on the cake!

I love the design, it's so plain and simple and looks great next to my tt1625s. I bought this for my second mixer after the package mixer which was the dm950 packed in and began to bleed a bit on the xfader. This mixer is sound, the xfader is smooth and padded. The effects takea while to get used to, so have a play with them, and you can make some really good sets or tunes with them in. The faders r great and i love the record out, specially while i use this mixer on a live radio station on the internet now and then. The lights on it look great as well, and you turn the buttons round the light follows u turning the nob! The db indicater as well is usefull for optimizing ur sound and tuning the mixer correctly into your speakers (bi amped or pre amped) to make it sound 100% best quality.

Been using this mixer a few months now and had no problems, Although it's the 2nd one i got from Djstore.
The first one had some faults, Only 1 channel worked and the main volume controls didnt work, But Djstore where very helpfull and exchaged it very quickly. It's an Exellent mixer with very clear sounds and easy to use. I recommend it to all!!

Great starter

Got this Mixer about a year ago used it at various mobile gigs. Never gone wrong on me. The effects are good if you know how to use them. I admit the volume does go down when the filter is turned down. To use the Filter you need to put the straight fader half way up then adjust the swivel knob. Great starter mixer. I am now Purchasing a Pioneer DJM 600 but the numark was a great mixer to start and for the price nothing beats it for features.

I got this mixer a few days ago after deciding between a Rane and this mixer and really love it. The fx are great, although the volume goes down a bit with the filter effect which has happened with almost all mixers I know, except from Ecler so I can't really complain too much about it. The controls are easy and quite a joy to handle and the cue fader is a brilliant idea as it adds a lot of versatility. I also like the fact that there is a turn knob for the CF Slope which allows you to individually adjust the crossfader however is perfect for you. All in all a great value for a 24 bit digital two channel mixer. Numark, You've done it for once!

Well ive only had this mixer a couple of hours so this review doesnt reflect a longterm relationship, however i still have the urge to tell everyone how fantastic this mixer is. I have just upgraded from a gemini pmx500 and the difference in features and build is massive. The kills are great, the fader is alot sturdier than my last, i now have the option of a curve setting which is a bonus and then of course there is the effects. These alone could keep me occupied for hours well infact since i recieved it. The filter phaser and flanger are all great and the 2x copy is really good fun for beat juggling. Will this mixer last? I dont know, only time will tell, however i would still recomend this mixer to anyone and everyone who is after a fantastic piece of equipment for a great price. Excellent work by dj store as well, fantastic service

This mixer produces the best sound quality ive heard from any mixer, the effects are crisp clear and well set out once u get used to them. packed full of features but numark have still not ignored the basics, the eq controls are the usual high standard that numark set.a 24 bit digital mixer with built in effects at only £175 - wot more can i say?

Lets get technical.
Feature-wise absolutely owrth the price 10 times over. The effects are phenominal. The digital sound quality is really clean, including the built in limiter. Never clip much with this mixer. I think everyone knows about the effects.
The cons: The isolation of the kills are a little strange. It seems the bass cuts lower than most mixers and a higher frequency of bass signals still get through. When remixing it doesn't sound very clean. Maintainance...the non-replacable channel fader just went bad on me. The infamous D-fader isn't too good either. Noise wise, there's that loud static thump when turning on and off.

A really good mixer as I wrote in a review 9 months ago however now, all the connectons on the back are getting really dodgy, suddenly throwing out unbalanced sound and sometimes cutting out. Also, when switching on now I get a really big power surge causing a real loud bang in my headphones which it never used to (and yes I am turning it on correctly with all faders down etc) A reall good mixer but now starting to throw up loads of glitches. Luckily, it comes with 2 year warranty.

Best mixer in it's class!

Shortly put this is the BEST mixer in it's class. I just threw out my Gemini FX-7000 mixer and got myself a DXM06. I will never regret that I did it. Quality effects (Alesis helped develop them), small and handy mixer, easy to use, GREAT sound, unbelievable good faders, lights show you the settings of faders and knobs (easy to use in the dark), the cue section is the best I've seen yet (and I've seen plenty). I'm never going back to Gemini. From now I'll only invest in mixers and DXM06, and if I do so it will be very expensive to match this quality!

10/10 - Release some of your mixing creativity with this beast

This mixer is a blast! You simply wont get anywhere near the features of the dxm06 with any other mixer. Crossfaders and faders are smooth with no crackles. EQ rotary nobs/kill switches are punchy and well placed. Effects are really interesting to play with especially if you are a more experimental DJ. Though most people in these reviews say they cant figure the effects out, I've managed some really creative stuff with ALL the effects, just use some initiative and take time to play with them. Sound quality is good, some of the effects naturally raise or lower the sound by killling certain frequencies - if this affects your mix u can easily adjust the gains for each channel. Build quality of the mixer is very good, a minor bitch would be to get some metal nobs/fader handles instead of plastic - but for this price what can you expect?

This mixer rocks, its def. One of the more simple fx mixers on the market, but that just does not matter. Everything screams quality on this little beauty. Top Features for Low Price

When i decided to buy a new mixer i couldnt afford a pioneer djm 500/600 i went for this one. The positives are that the eq's are tight, cf is good, the filter is fantstic, better than pioneer as you can sweep it from hi to low yourself and its not set to a sequence, the flanger and phaser are good. The only negatives i have found are that the echo, tape echo and 2xcopy are pretty poor. Even if you tap them in time they rarely sound very good. However the price is the same as other mixers with basic features so why not but one with a bit more. Highly recommended.

I bought this mixer a few months ago and am impressed with it. the Kills are tight, equalisers give you a bit of flexibility with the sound and the sound FX are very good. They take a time to get used to but once you have mastered them you can spruce up breakdowns and intensify your mix. The fader is as smooth as a babies bum and the general quality of the mixer is excellent. Bedroom Dj's this is the mixer for you, got all you need to create some tight mixes and add your own flare, good price for what you get and i recomend it! Keep it hardcore

Very, very good mixer!!! I got this mixer with the TT500's. This mixer's sound quality is amazing, very crisp and clear. The FX are great. The flanger effect is almost exactly the same as on the pioneer, and when I say almost I mean you couldnt get any closer. The kill switches are very good too. This mixer is amazing and cant beleive that its so cheap. Oh and the crossfader is top notch. Its very smooth and feels like it will last for ages and ages. If you want a mixer that is quality look no further you have found it. Thanx Numark and thanx dj store, top quality service!!!!!!

It must be said that this mixer is the bomb. It has very clear sound quality, the mic just sounds perfect. Has enough effects to bruce up the mix like the flanger and phaser effect and the mic vocoder is just wicked! Ive had loads of laughs usin that efect at live events. The effects makes the mix 10 times better, and is a cheap price for all the features you are getting and it was also 40 quid cheaper on here than hard to find records. You must buy it.

get a behringer if not a pioneer

well i read all of your reviews and sadly made the choice of acting upon them. this was a day before i was to purchase a Behringer VMX 700. i should have got it. Try killing the bass with the bass kill switch and you have to turn the mid down in order to get rid of the thump. therefore ur mixes sound shite. the effects are ok i suppose all 2 of them which actually do anything. what a waste of money i think and a hastle to make ur mix sound right. i got better mixes out of my old gemini 626 and that was a piece of shit. im gonna save up for a pioneer now and hopefully blag this mixer to a friend for 100 quid. Bottom line forget this moxer if your seious about your mixing. trust me.

I got this for christmas, and f*ck me, its incredible!!! First of all, the look is one of sheer beauty.
Second of all. The raw sound quality is unbeatable. Its fully digital, so you lose no sound quality thru it. Thirdly, the effects are outstanding. So good they make you smile everytime you use them. Like it says in the instructions manual - the effects are dangerously addictive. Its true, just remember to keep mixing! I have nearly had the record run out several times because i have been playing with the effects so much! The mixer you can get with out shelling out two or three times the price of this sexy little kitten.

great mixer, but not perfect!

I expecting a lot when i ordered this mixer and it delivered. It is quialty, but it is not without it's faults. The sound does dip when using the filter, but easily solved by turning the effects unit on and off directly before and after using it!! Also i would have liked a bit more in terms of sound level indication. The two outside meter give left and right channel levels with a cue level being in the centre. But isn't the cue either just channel one or two? A little strange. It would have made more sense to make it a master level so you can keep a track of the overall sound level. Also you can't turn off the cross fader, so those of us who don't use it you have to be careful not to knock it when getting carried away with the effects!!! Other than that the mixer is quialty. Will take a while to get used to it as the music fades in totally different from my last mixer and the bass eq actually work on this!!! So that'll be fun, actually having mixes that aren't overloaded with bass!!!! Good service and price from the dj store, so i'm well pleased!!!

I was a bit unsure about this one at first but as soon as i turned it on and played with the fx i fell in love. As a scratcher the x-fader was well important to. The cut in point is tighter than any vestax & is as smooth as a babys rear end. Up faders are also well nice but curve adjustment on them would make it even better. Brillant sound quality & not as "toy-ish" looking as i expected. Great value for money!!

I purchased this on monday, great service from djstore , got it on tuesday. Was most dubious about this product, i felt the fx section was perhaps a little fady. Already i have found it extremly usefull. Apart from all else this is an absolutly brilliant mixer, highl reccomended, the layout is a little unorthodox, but as somone else int he review section said, u do get used to it quickly.

This thing is fantastic. Im a mobile dj and ws looking at some of the more traditional 19" mixers. i was persuaded to get this one by another dj and work it into my flight case. its really easy to use and with the kill switches and adjustable crossfade it makes mixing easier. I play tunes accross the board so theyre really handy features. the effects are fun to play with and give something a bit different at a gig. Just dont overdo it! the sound processing quality is fantastic and sounds a hell of a lot better than my last mixer. I had a gig last night and my regulars noticed the difference. the only thing its missing for me is dual mic inputs, but for most people thats not a problem, and i'll find a way to work round that.
