beginers BUY
By: andrew
right first things first... i am a beginer and a dj on a radio show and all the lads on the radio where tellin me to get into doin discos and its a gr8 way to get your name out there so i the guys where sayin this to me for about a year and just after the summer i started to think what kit to buy. i almost bought the Kam imix (went as far as puttin the deposit down on it) for the simple reason that it has pitch control but it was a £110 more than the numark idj and at the end of the day as a 18 year old student £110 is a lot of money and payed for 60% of my spekers also at the end of the day you dont need pitch control. so i bought 2 2nd hand 20gb 4th gen ipods for £120 (for both) they work just as well as new 1s (ipods came with 1 year warranty look in the right places e.g.CEX and you can find them)and i got the rest of my gear...
when i told people that i had bought this mixer thay said y do you not just buy a mixer for £50 and link it up with 2 ipods but i colud not be bothered with messin about with cables and you may as well have every thing in one mixer
when i got the idj i was impressed with how compact it was and how nice looking it was.i used the mixer at my first gig only had 1 ipod so i linked the mixer up with my m8s ibook, my amp and it was gr8 and filled quit a big room
so as i was sayin above this is a very very very cheap way 2 get into the world of playin discos if you are a student like myself looking to make a few quid out of discos i can not stress how well this little mixer will work for you and when i spend your £89 on this you will be happy
can i say the delivery was very quick im in belfast and i have to wait ages for goods online but not with this i orderd on sunday and mixer came on the tusday
many thanks

Not bad for a Beginner
By: MlOfTy
The Ipod Mixer is a very good piece of equipment for a DJ.. however i brought it to find it has no pitch control.. and i don't understand how you are meant to mix music when you can't adjust the speed... except for that i recommend beginners use it.

Basic but brilliant

Had read many reviews of this product prior to buying one. Many from people who were probably bedroom djs, and were scathing of the product. The main criticism was that there is no pitch control and therefore you cant beatmatch. In itself this is a fair comment and clearly a limitation of the product, however many DJs do not beatmatch and do not need to, not all DJs play house and banging music. I am a professional club DJ, mainly playing salsa and world music. Beatmatching is not important to me but having some means of limiting the gear I have to cart around with me for gigs (i.e 500 cds +) and improving the way in which I can access and choose tracks is a dream come true. This kit does what it says on the label and does it well. It is easy to use in a club situation and produces great sound when attached to a good PA system. Being able to use an Ipod and the fleixibility that brings to ordering your music is fantastic.
For those who have to beatmatch then have a look at the new Ipod mixer from Numark.
Can't recommend this enough

At DJ Store we strongly promote the idea that best people to review DJ equipment
are the people that use it on a daily basis.
We want to hear your comments and we want you to share them with our customers -
but we also have a few rules:
- The Best reviews are short (no more than 500 words).
- Stay on topic - stay relevant to the product.
- Write in proper english and keep it clean or it won't be published.
- Feel free to suggest a similar product that you feel is better.
- No links, phone numbers, website addresses etc will be published.
- Most important of all - think about it!
Before you write simply "this mixer is junk" and submit it -
think about who else would be using it?
You can't compare a £50.00 mixer with a £500.00 one -
so consider the price when writing.
We want you to tell us the good and bad points about our DJ equipment -
but remember the best reviews don't just say whether you liked
