Great turntable at an amazing price, highly recommended
By: Leon
Excellent turntable and an excellent price. Probably the best on the market for this price range. and its not just for beginners (although it would be an amazing 1st turntable) even if your take your DJ'n serious then the tt200 will do everything you need. i was pleasantly surprised. the torque is great and best of all... this turntable looks really cool.

Great 1st set of decks
By: djplay
These decks are good, and would recommend to anyone who wants to start mixing or upgrade from belt-drives.
The torque is good, a little more in fact that the legendary 1200/1210 techs. They are solid enough for bedroom use, and have enough features to make scratch and mix djs happy.
Two main flaws in the deck are:
1) The wow and flutter @ 0.2% prevent long mixes - ie your tracks drift from being beatmatched to sounding terrible. In real life i think the figure is more like 0.5% the speed of the platter can vary 1/2 of 1%.
2) Both motors burnt out on mine within 9 months. I am not a scratch dj and so the decks have only seen light cuing action.
Good decks for begginers, dont punish them too hard, or expect them to keep the beat too long.

bowchikawowow perfect for ze scratch no???
By: dj styles
ive been dj'ing (bedroom) for 5 years now. started when i was into dance music. learnt how to mix but got into scratchin 3 years ago. had some sony dj9000's. they were ok but ive just bought some numark tt200's man. wow. what a difference for scratchin.. no skippage even when im going crazy. im honestyl blown away. aint tried any mixing because it does not inspire me. if you scratch get some! you will be amazed. ive only had budget tables but this has made my day man. yeah they might be a bit flimsy (start and stop buttons, pitch control) but c'mon 164 quid each??? if you wanna see me scratch on my old ones email me and ill send you the link. get some!!!!

Great decks for all purposes, scratching, mixing etc.
By: DJ Wattsy
Im not sure why everyone is saying bad things about these decks, i have had these tt200's for about 6 months and i think they look and feel amazing, some people say that you cant keep them in time for 25 or more seconds..... Rubbish, what you need to do is get better at mixing. The pitch on these is very good, the slipmatts have a lovely feel to them and are great for spinbacks. For the price theses decks are amazing. The only bad thing that i can say is that the target lights can blow, these are easy and cheap to replace.
i have not had any problems with these decks and i will now contiue to stay with numark, not sure what the big deal is with technics but i dont find them very nice at all, too dull and heavy.

If u need good turntables for practice-buy them
By: Sergey Vintage
Hello from Russia! ;) I owned 2 tt200 two weeks ago. And i'm happy now. They are very-very good! Aspecially for beginners. But also for pro. People, who say, that you must buy only technics if u r beginner totally wrong. Don't listen to them. Technics is a club standart, they r best ofcource, but tt200 r the best turntables for home using(small parties and practice)!

Great Value
By: mark
Really good deck for the money and nothing can touch it in that respect.
I have had these since 2001 and have decided to go for 1210 Mk 5 but these are great decks and have had no problems with them only the target lights needed replacing but there cheap anyways
If your thinking about these buy them as nothing can compare for the money

Great for Begginers
By: Adi-Swizzle
Had the tt200 for about now, my first pair of decks n i must say that they have been brilliant. I got my mixing to a t, but I can't keep my beet match going for more than 30 secs but i would definetly recommend these to any begginer. looking to upgrade to sum technics but im only 14 where am i going to get that money from :P

Good all round performance deck
By: Darren Lovell
For money this is an excellent set of decks. Being my second deck setup i found them quite easy to get used to.The torque is just right for learning scraching not too strong not too weak. The only downside i found is that the pitch fader is too sensitive i like to feel how much im changing the music not just watch how much im changing it. If you have the money go for technics.Good budget deck.A+

2006-03-27
My opinion is that are good to practise on them, but thats it!!
By: djcorty
Well I have had these turntables now for six months and they are only for home use. Wow and Flutter is just too high to keep your mix perfect for longer than 25 seconds. It says less than 0,2%. That is too high nonsense!! The tech“s have it 0,01%. Isnt it a difference? For first time buyer cool, but not for someone who is willing to take them down in the club.

great... but u soon realise
By: chris
I baught these decks 2 years ago..ther stil going fine although the pitch sways alot so that needs changing. These were my first decks so i didnt really know alot about decks, now i been dj'n for 2 years i realise that these are not the that great. ther great to start on dont get me wrong but trust me if ur playing at a local club or big club or wot eva for the first time and they use technics your in for a shock. im lucky as my m8 has technics and i finally got used to them, the two decks are completely different so just watch out fot that...im not dissin these decks cos they have served me well but if u find dj'n IS ur thing then id consider buying technics or them stanton deks which are just the same as technics..

Be careful with these decks.
By: James Burke
I cannot fault these decks at all. Had them nearly 2 years now and one of the motors has gone on the decks. I hope this is not a common thing and poor build quality as i got them when they were new decks so the build quality mentioned was untested. Be careful when boasting about the reliability as mine went right out of the blue!

BUY THEM NOW !!
By: DJ Zitkus
Best purchase I have ever made. When I bought these decks one of them never worked but DJ Store exchanged it with no problems very quickly at the christmas period last year. I thought being christmas I would have waited a while but it was no more than a few days. Since then I would say these decks are one of the best sets I have ever used. Great for mixing and scratching. Buy Them !!

An absolute give away
By: Phil Reid
I actaully bought these about 6 months ago but i have only just decded to write. Sorry!
these turntables cannot be faulted. Forget the bull about the oversensitive pitch, thats your stupid fault. Get some more practice.
these babys even come on the road with us now for a local trance night we have started up. (the bar only has a computer for music, no decks)we got offered a pair of 1210's to borrow for the nights but turned them away because we quite simply don't need them!
they really can't be faulted for me and can deffinatly stand up to the bigboys with double the price tag.
so my advice, especially if your starting out is to get these. They will not fail you!

2005-07-11
spot on!!!
By: gowd
i would recomended to any budding bed room dj who is after a quality set of directs on a buget there spot on. But do get a set of better slip mats and carts cos the groove tools are pants and the mats arnt up to much iether.

TWO THUMBS UP!
By: Ray
This turntable is outstanding. Forget about blowing money on Technics if you don't feel like these will work just as good. Very stable and sturdy. I'm gonna get a 2nd to replace my STR8-30. This thing trumps the STR8-30, and STR8-80. Get it now!

BAD BOYS
By: Dj Lmw
Well for the price these decks are outstanding, forget technics there so over-rated! Iv you want a pair of decks with super high tourqe. Great for scratchin and mixing on a budget or just want to save ya self some cash get ya self these bad boys.

GET THESE NOW!!!!!!!
By: chris
These are my first decks that i have ever had and as a beginner i was a little worried these decks were for more skilled dj's n i have to say my m8 has tech's,tt200's are exactly the same if not better. With the reverse and 78rpm 10% ptch you can add a little character to your mix's. They are so easy to use, people have sed these arnt stable as techs in my opinion they are but i do have a light hand.... they dont skip-well mine dont and they run smooth as a babies ass, they look wkd aswell. **THE PITCH IS NOT TO LOOSE ATALL YOU GET USED TO IT IN LETS SAY ABOUT... 1 MINUTE OF USING IT!!** For the price you cant go wrong even if you are starting or looking for another pair of decks get these because they do the same job as techs but with xtra features and half the price. SOOOOO GET EMM!!!!!

2004-05-22
Highly reccomended
By: Adam
Just got a set yesterday there my 2nd pair havent used them much yet but first opinion is that there great. there so stable compared to my last set of geminis for the price of them you can't go wrong, And there realy nice looking especialy in the dark, I don't think Im going to want to upgrade for a long long time. If your thinking of buying them I reccomend that you do

2004-04-21
says it all
By: jtcash
At first when I got them, i gave them 5/5. But then, after a while, i guess i improved and my hand got heavier since i scratch and juggle more. The motor just doesn't do it for me and many pple think i have the lightest hand. If you don't do tricks then these decks are wayyyy more than adequate. Quit complaining about pitch sensitivity. It's not the decks fault, it's yours. I've mixed house and what not, and it's not any harder to do than techs except on techs u can be more lazy cuz it's only +-8%. I mean mixing is easiest thing to do...why are pple complaining about pitch sensitivity. Just get used to it. If you scratch and you don't have cash, get these decks and add better slipmats...good luck finding a pair...its' harder than u think. I give it 4 now just because I don't think the motor is strong enough for my touch. Otherwise, build, sound, durability...it's more than enough...u won't be thrwoing this deck around unless you really can't mix and you get frustrated...

Probably good for scratching, poor for house DJ's
By: Ian H
I have a pair of 1200's in my room at home, (playing all house and no scratching), and I recently played on these at a local pub. They're probably good for scratching as they have the same torque as Technics, but as pointed out before the pitch is crap and moves far too easily not giving any feel to it - particularly after a few beers ! ! ! !
If your a house merchant and beat mix all the time you really should get something else. I know I'm obviously biased and Technics are more expensive, but you'll get far more satisfaction if you can spend a little more money.

2004-04-07
They're not technics but they're also not £400 each!
By: Alex B
Good solid deck. Sturdy and quite weighty to avoid knocks/vibration and for scratching i was pleasantly suprised - with a couple of half-decent stanton sk's there is hardly ever a skip, even when ripping it up. Very impressive - especially for under £200 a piece. Yes, the pitch-fader is way too sensitive and the over-compensation is annoying meaning that it will take a while to get used to them but for practising they're perfect because if you're playing in a club on 1210's you'll find it much easier to mix having used these!
i rate them well because they're direct drive, have a solid and powerful motor, robust build quality and they sound very very good. Tidy.

JUST AS GOOD AS TECHNICS

GREAT PRODUCT AT A GREAT PRICE. I GOT THEM A FEW MONTHS AGO AND IM GLAD.

Great deck
By: Craig
Pleased I bought this deck over the numark tt-1650 the torque is great, and the price is even better, having a lot of fun with the reverse feature, the pitch is a little bit loose but you get used to it after a while. Get some better needles though.

2004-02-25
not too bad
By: DJ 69
These decks are not too bad for the price but the pitch is rubbish;easy to knock, very lose movement, and if that sweet mix is slippin out, u move that pitch and it all goes tits up. The scratchin ability is good, but can't be abbused too much cos the neddle will jump sometimes and if your scrathin though a hole tune you'll notice the touqe starts to lose power.for 200 quid this deck is the don for the mid range but i think i might give the str880's a try.

2004-02-15
TOP QUALITY
By: DJ Select_e
I'm giving this turntable 5 simply for the fact as far as value for money goes, this is as good as it gets. Of course if you've got the money go for the 1200/1210, the PDX series or TTX but do not think this is turntable isn't any good. It is outstanding! You wont be disappointed i assure you

Great Decks, highly recommend!!!
By: dane
These decks are great, i was going to buy the technics but why waste your money these are great well worth the money love the layout and design, and the torque is very impressive, i use the s- shaped arms, quality!!

Good but crap pitch
By: matttttt
Great value for the money. Good features and excellent torque. However, the pitch seems to be the major flaw. 10 times as difficult to use as vestax, but im hoping its just a matter of getting used to them, after time. Amazing considering they cost only half that of technics or vestax, especially if u can put up with the pitch problems.

This is my second pair of decks now and I am lovin them. Perfect intermediete turntables whether you are a hip-hop scratcher or a drum n bass mixer. Definatly Recommended by DJ Twigz

The best turntable in its price range!
By: Rob
I've been djing for over 10 years now and was a bit apprehensive about buying anything but an sl12xx. I now have to say that i'm glad that i did. There's so much choice now and personally i prefer the feel of this turntable to anything else i've used. Excellent torque and thoroughly steady platter and tonearm.

Sick decks
By: Double R
this deck is syck. a bit more powerful than even the mighty technics but the technics are more sturdy which explaines the great price difference. However there is nothing wrong with these decks they are absolutly brilliant. Had mine for 9 months. Bought them with the DM950 numark mixer. The mixer is poo though so i now use a vmx 200 mixer.

Best decks of their price range but nothing on Technic 1210s
By: R/B
On paper these decks do sound as good as technics but in practice they are no where as near as good. First things first the torque might be noted as 1.6kg but it certainly does not feel as strong as a 1210. However that said the build quality of the decks is sufficiant. I found the platter to be extremely stable (something needed for quick back queing and scratching). I also found the startup speed and breaking speed to be quick and the decks seemed to hold their pitch quite well. That said, i thought the pitch lever was extremely flimsy and easy to knock. Overall the decks have a plastic feel to them and when compared to decks made of cold steel there definitely seems to be something lacking. That said, these are probably the best decks in their price range but i'd maybe suggest saving a few more pennies and buying stanton str8-80s or going the distance and buying technics (trust me if you're seriously you'll only be upgrading in a year or two).

Fantastic Value, Fantastic Decks
By: Craig
I had a set of tt100s for a couple of years and decided that it was time to upgrade. Of course, the first things i looked at were pdx2000s, str8-100s and sl1200s. However, i had to ask myself is it really worth shelling out £700 for a set of decks when i can get what looks like an equally good set for half the price? After all, i'll just be using them in my house most of the time. My old numarks had done me well for the time i had them so i checked these out. They are quite simply outstanding. Start up is as good as any high end turntable and they feel solid as a rock. With great torque and fantastic looks, you can't really go wrong with these decks. The pitch is sensitive, but you get used to it. Besides, you will only get better at your mixing as it takes that little bit more skill to get the mix right. Think carefully before buying any of the big boys.

2003-09-11
These are top end decks with a mid range price tag!
By: Elementalism
I cannot believe these decks. I have used vestax and technics all my life, but recently had to sell both my pdx2000s and before them my 1210mk2s. Being on a budget of around 400, i decided to plump for these, with the hope of at least being able to make a record spin around and make a sound. Well i was shocked. In terms of start-ups, these decks are wedged between the pdx2000s and 1210s. Scratching was fine on these, better than my previous decks in two departments: 1-the battle position is good for all you turntablists out there. 2-straight and s shaped tone-arms. I cannot believe how good these decks are, mixing on them is sweet. My only niggle is the pitch-it is extremely sensitive. If you have 2 tracks cued and touch the pitch control a little bit, it'll throw the mix out. It takes some getting used to, a couple of hours or so, but after that, you're fine. Get these decks, they are easily as good as 1210s, and only slightly worse than vestax pdx2000s. You cannot go wrong for the price.

Numark-tastic !!
By: Sam (DJ Smiley)
Now read carefully before you go wasting your money. These are a pair of bad boys, in my opinion very similar to the vestax . Great torque and many functions. Got mine yesterday just come off them. Good for scratching and mixing get them now! Well done numark. Djstore is the best online shop aswell well done guys keep up the good work and keep down the prices.

Outstanding

Just purchased, these decks really look and feel amazing. For the price you can't go wrong great for scratching and definately hard wearing, fit some better carts and ur off and running.

Excellent decks, but one annoying flaw.
By: Dean Eager
I bought these decks about 6 months ago and sold them to buy technics today. For what they cost they really are an amazing quality deck and if it weren't for 1 annoying flaw they would blow technics out of the water. What's the flaw? Well, at first i thought it was my imagination, until i found loads of user-reviews pointing out the same thing: drag the platter lightly and it'll actually speed up; drag it heavily and it leaps forward when you let go; twist the spindle to push it forward and it'll actually slow down!the motor / pitch control system auto-compensates to keep the platter rpm constant (it does make 'em great for scratching though). The result? You have to be pretty heavy with your pushes & pull to overcompensate for what the deck's gonna do when you let go and you'll end up getting slurs & zips on any mids & trebles. i told myself it was something i could live with and learn to deal with, then each time i play on technics they just do exactly what you expect 'em to and if you've got a mix that's drifting out and need to do something quickly to keep it in (with no slurs or zips), then you need your deck to work with you, don'tcha?

outstanding

These decks should be owned by everyone, one word - outstanding

2003-06-05
brilliant.
By: dale
These turntables are absolute top notch considering how much u have to shell out to get em, real bargain. Torque is excellent and aesthetically classy. Only reservation is pitch control not to scale, wee bit dodgy. Get them anyway!

Don't buy tt1650's buy these!!! - Quality Decks!
By: Neil Garland
Just got these decks yesterday - upgraded from the tt1650's - and boy am i impressed! So much better. These are excellent value 4 money; solid metal build, decent torque - well up to scratching especially with the straight tone-arm. 3 speeds is handy for pitching slow tunes if u like it hardcore like me ;) and reverse play is also a nice little extra if u like listening to lps backwards (whatever floats your boat as they say). Only thing i can say against these is they come with crappy groove tool styli (i'm replaced these with stantons 500s) and also the neoprene slipmats aren't too great - a problem thats easily resolved with a new pair. All in all these are great alternatives to 1210's for about half the price. They look better, feel just as good but will they last the test of time - hope so!

2003-03-28
Tip-top!
By: Andy__C
What an excellent deck for the money!! £400 for a pair, that is seriously good value, the torque is good, and pitch holds well. Techs users may not like this as the pitch fader is a lot more accurate than the analogue, and find it harder to beatmatch. Only gripe is that the pitch sliding knob is too high, keep knocking it....dammit. Can't afford techs/vestax/ttx1 ....get these!! King of the mid range decks

2003-03-17
Superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By: master pee
I can't believe how good These decks are superb for such a low price. Great torque, and being able to swap tone arms is ingenious. Outstanding value for money, well done Numark.

sod the 1210's!
By: Will Rook
This deck really does perform. For £400 you can get a pair of decks, which aren't gonna blow technics out into space, but certainly challenge them for value, and on performance in some areas. The torque is excellent, and genuinly is as good as technics. The deck is as stable as 1210's, u could sit on it and it wudn't budge. Interchangeable tone arms are good, but i find you never change um, just use the one u prefer, but useful nevertheless. It's nice to see that they ahve removed the "notch" at 0 pitch, another helpful feature. There is only one gripe i have with these. That is that the sides of the platter, where you tweak things, is not much good. You dont get much friction with the deck, and dont feel "in touch" with it, so you know how much you are adjusting without listening. This will probably be something you would get used to in time, but it is certainly not as good as vestax/1210's on that point. Overall however, i think anyone considering 1210's or pdx's shud think about this deck too, as it offers most of what they ahve, at a vastly reduced price. Also, thx to djstore for next day delivery...cant fault them!

2003-02-17
Great value for money.
By: Steven
Ordered one day - received the next, great service DJ Store. As this is my first set of direct drive decks, it was bound to be an improvement over my old belt drives, but i am very impressed at the qulity and feel of these Numarks, very stable. Interchangeable tone arms is a great feature and you can have some fun with the reverse feature. If there was one improvement to make it would be the range of the pitch control, i had +-16% on my old decks and the Numarks offer +-10%, that's it though, everything else is superb. Overall - great value for money.

Numark have done us proud!
By: simon R
This really is a great deck in every way! I would use these while playin out with no worrys at all most of my mates have 1210's (dont every1) but they all say my tt200's are easily as good if not better for the fact that not only do they perform but to look at they are only beaten by the mighty ttx and the only mixer to have with these decks is the matrix 3 an awsome combination and it really completes the look well done numark!!

2002-12-21
Outstanding
By: Sam Hughes
Simply outstanding decks, Just as good as the 1210's in my opinion and various pro's even think the sam. I expected great quality that numark are renound for, and thats what I recieved.

Out of using 1210mk3's and these, they are preety much the same in terms of torque, but with the added bonus of great looks and more features, great quality&price

Absolute Giveaway

Everything about this turntable is quality. the price, quality, and performance is about as good as you'll get. I would recommend it beginners and people who have recently purchased the TT-100.

Why pay out for Technics when these are just as good at a much lower price
By: DJ:pmc
After weighing up the options of numark tt200, technics and vestax i have to say these came out on top. They are a good weight the torque is good and i am more than happy to use these at a venue. They are good quality and cheaper than technics or vestax. All in all a good investment.
