I bought these when i was a beginner, they are great for beginners or people who are on tight budget. This is not really a good scratching styles, although it is good for mixing because of the clear sound. 2006-05-24

I got these carts free with my TT500's, and as far as free carts go they are very good. They track the record very well through scratching and heavy back cueing.

However the sound quality is disappointing. There is very little bass response making your records sound very tinny. This is especially noticeable when you're listening to house music, as the drum track gets cut right out!

You should get this cart if your looking for something cheap that you can scratch with, but if actually like listening to what your playing then invest something a little more expensive. 2006-02-25
Great value mid range carts.

I bought a pair of the Ortofons in December, and so far I've been very impressed. As a house DJ I dont need them to be completely skip-proof as i dont put them under a lot of pressure, but they track the record superbly, considering the price. The sound quality is excellent too, really noticable having upgraded from my bog-standard Groove Tools. Reccommended for the price! 2004-09-03

I bought the om cartridges about 3 days ago and the sound quality is exellent! They beat the stanton range by far. I used to have a simular cartridge to the numark gt (groove tool) and these have shown them right up. My mate has the stanton 505 and he thought they were the best for that price range, but now he is so jealous, he is going to buy some very very soon. Also, the delivery was outstanding and so fast compared to hard to find wich takes 2-6 days. I recommend these to any new dj. 2004-05-10

These are the cheapest and greatest carts for drum and bass they track the vinyl so well and dont skip when your scratching they are so much better than the cheapest stantons. 2004-03-03

Like mostt people at the age of 16 whos on a tight buget i wanted the most amount of bang i could get for my pound. I have tryed nemark gt (grove tool), these were my first styli back in the day they were cheep for a reason ok sound crap for scratching, and stanton 505sk these are better for scratching, but still not amazing sound that i wanted for my 400w speakers.

trying out the om pro s, they are just as good as the 505sk's for scratching, they don't skip at all realy, but they have much much better sound qulity.

as a final test i compaied the 505skii on one deck and the om por s on the other, no suprise i could tell a clear difference in the sound quality, the om pro s was by far the better styli.

this was on track for a 4/5 but what toped it for me was that you can up grade you styli without changing the cart as all ofrton styli are interchangeable. I also find that the cut out on the styli rocks as it makes it much easer than on the 505skii to find the right place on the record.

Very good for the price, cant comment on many other carts other that the stanton 505sk, must say the ortofons beat these hands down. Sound nice, hold the groove well and you can upgrade your stylus later as all om stylis are interchangable. 2003-06-06

I baught these with my decks and i was not dissapointed! I was a bit weary spending £45 on carts but these are brilliant a must have for any dj.
