I like the model. Very basic but has a good quality for DJ'ing. I like the basic built-in-effects and it is a good piece of equipment to start with.
It is not really the best but it is very complicated to do the best sound or DJ effects on it.
I would like to go more advance by using the CDJ-400. I had a look at it and i think that it will build your reputation. CDJ-100S is just a start.

Brilliant piece of equipment!!
The cdj100 may be basic and not have many features but the feel of it is brilliant. The pitch and jog wheel feel solid, infact the whole unit feels solid! It takes a bit to get used to after some cheapo cd players but its deffinately much better if you cannot afford the cdj800s or 1000s. But its a pioneer= reliable. The only thing that could make this cdj better is a lower pitch increment value as its 0.1%. This however doesnt mean smooth mixes cant be performed, just that adjustments have to be made more constantly.
All in all this cdj is brilliant for the cost and I cant wait to add another to my setup!

ok, lets be frank. if you have the money you should go with the 800's or 1000s, they are in a class of their own. However for this price these are ALL you should consider.
Pioneers are industry standard, you wont find the numarks or anything else in decent clubs so getting used to them is counterproductive if you want to play out.
Get used to the solid feel and looks of these babies and you will not want to look elsewhere again.
the guy who said about the jog wheel being too sensitive proved my point entirely, if you get used to a lesser model you'll struggle when confronted by a CDJ in a club...not what u want.
these are mint. cant recommend them enough.

For the money these are excellent, i originally bought the Numark Axis 9s as i thought you got more for your money with the extra fx and looping etc, however they were terribly unreliable, skipping and constantly having to adjust the jog wheel whilst mixing. Pioneer cdj 100 is very reliable, quick loading, compact, and good value for money, have used cdj800, and 1000 in clubs and no way is a cdj 1000 worth 3 times as much, only problem is no loop facility.

Get the Axis 9

This deck is ok but for the money buy the numark axis 9. I already had an axis 8 and bought this to go with it, thinking pioneer would be even better. Unfortunately the jog wheel calibration is no where near as well set as the numark, being far too sensitive. This makes nudging the track back into time difficult. Push it a bit and it's not quite enough, push it a bit more and it's miles ahead. Infuriating. This is a cheap pioneer cd for beginners. If you've got the money get one of the more expensive cdjs (i'm sure they are better). If you've just got £250 get the axis 9(s).

Of course they deserve a 5/5, these are amazing! The outlay is amazing with great and comfortable functions, instant start, great sound and nice effects. the pitch is great too, it has anything you want. If you don't need a loop, the smallest pitch resolution or mp3 facilities, get this instead of the cdj 200, as it is the same player. There is really a reason for it being in clubs and used all over the world, by professionals and bedroom djs. This is the thing to get.

Awesome piece of kit

Having used vinyl for 8+ years i thought i'd never get along with a cd mixer. How wrong i was. After using it for just 2 minutes i was as proficient in mixing as i am on vinyl. It has opened up a whole new world for me, only trouble is now, i have to start building up my cd collection as well as vinyl.

For only £265 u get a solid cdplayer with effects. I use this along side my vinyl decks and it fits in perfectly! A very good buy!

These players are SWEEET...they are an amazing set of players & i just love the sound i get...mixing is far more realistic & fun than on twin cd players...the features are amazin, the slot in, the big jog wheel & the effects are a gr8 help...bottom line -CDJ's rule the cd player industry!

I've always been a vinyl junkie but I got my hands on one of these babies yesterday & I've opened my mind to using CD's. Effects are great & the sound quality is clear as crystal. Well worth the money!

These, and the rest of the pioneer cdj are by far the best players in the industry. Nothing else comes even close. They are solid, accurate, functional, slick, and reliable. Dont waste your time with other rubbish, including the pioneer cmx's. Cdj's are the ultimate.

It is outstanding! 3 live/realtime effects are the best I've ever heard. I often used the effect WAH, but my friend likes JET :P CDJ100 is also the fastest in loading cd's. I just love these players - good job, Pioneer ;)
