Smooth transition from vinyl to cd mixing? CDJ1000 JOB DONE!!! These things just make everything so much more creative, everything from the real time loop to the hot cues which really help with dropping tracks in the right places. Best thing is, its SO easy to use! Trust me after 10 mins learning the basics any transitional dj will feel right at home, worth every penny!!! 2007-10-04

Yep, these are the daddies all right. Unfortunately i don't have the kind of dosh that means i could add these to my setup, but believe me if i did they would be number one on my list.

i've played on both these and the 800s and i have to say, they may as well be made by different companies. These decks ooze quality, even the ones you see in clubs that are all dusty and covered in dried beer, whereas the 800s, although they try hard, just feel a little cheap and lacking in features. Nuff said about them.

basically, you can't go wrong with these babies. They are rock solid, and will even play beer coasters with no hesitation. They are also as indestructible as a concrete cockroach. I feel like crying sometimes when i see the abuse that these poor decks have to go through in london's clubs, and yet when you hit play they're off just as confidently as the day they were made.

yep, they're pricey, but they're industry standard for a reason. The cdj1000s are quite simply the best cd decks you can buy. 2007-07-20

I had a go on these in a nightclub the other day, it was my 1st time using them, and i found it easy! the feel was really good, it wasent to sesitive. And the cue and play buttong were very sharp and had no delay. Also i found the BMP counter very usfull and made mixing alot easier! A great product! 2007-06-12

The best cd deck iv played on, i bought the cdj1000mk3 about 4 months ago now and have used it in a few of my club sets and my bedroom for my internet radio sessions, playin a set with 2 pioneer cdjs together is so easy i can mix tracks in seconds. highly recommended to anyone who is thinkin of buying it, dont be fooled by the "cheeply-made" feel it has, because what it can do is a completely different matter. 10/10 2007-01-26
Save money buy Pios They're dearer but they work flawlessly

I've tried the rest (over 30 years of being a DJ) and take it from me, the Pio is by far the best choice. The reason is - It just works!!!! Other companies have what seem like good products but it is often only skin deep. I sold my Denon 3500s on Ebay and bought Pios. To me there is no comparison. The Pios are the bomb. You will turn them and just use them. Plus being able to adjust the jog wheel and turntable responses means that you can have them just the way you want. They load much faster, without buffer problem. I suppose after using Vinyl for 33 years that's what I want. All I can say is that I felt at home on these straight away. Costs more now but saves you money in the future. 2006-07-10

personally dont see the need in the mp3 function as think most ppl tend to play each cd as a cd single (less confusion etc)

but the price difference to the mk2 is very little so for those of you that want that function its ideal.

what else can you say? its the industry standard for a reason. 2006-05-30

Pioneer FINALLY deliver the ultimate cd deck!

Until now, the only thing that let the flagship cdj-1000 down was lack of mp3 compatibility. I originally thought Denon would take over and leave Pioneer standing. I take that back. The mk3 model is everything you could want. The mp3 function is much better than other decks and pitch range much wider. Don't hesitate - buy with confidence!!
