The technics quality is in the mix
By: James Richardson
I have used various top end dd turntables over the last 15 years and I am so glad I have finaly come home with Technics. The best improvement for me is that there is no longer a sticking point at '0'. I rekon the real proof in performance is to listen back to your mixes - on Technics, accurate beat mixing is a delight, and just seems to work - its the Technics 'feel', that no other deck I have used have had.

try before you buy
By: BEZZ
I was very tempted to buy these, tried them out in the local panasonic shop (which they the sell for full price tag £400) and was amazed by the build quality...but then saw the light when i tested the stanton str8-150's, they just blow the t*ts off these...when technics finally get to match the stantons they're gonna cost the price of a small statley home and be covered in in more gold than they can dig out of the ground. The motor is slightly more accurate but thats due to technic's greedy patents on a quartz motor were as the brushless DC, but still not a spot on the stantons...is this the beggining of the end for techs?

got to agree with rolo there good but not the best
By: carter
Ok appart from the s-shaped tone arm (crap compared to stantons str8) fixed cables, pitch fader that jams in the middle and the fact that they dont have a sp/dif cable output which is a god send for anyone using a digital mixer. oh and the cheap materials used and the stupid price tag, the weak 1.6kg torque, i could go on...... stantons str8 150 have a digital output which means that mixers that use digital type crossfader can process the sounds better. str8 150s have 4.5kg torque but the only thing is the techies have a very very slightly more accurate motor but the diffrence is very little and only on paper. my resident club has just replaced there 1200mk5's with the str8 150's and now im a happy man i just need some for my bedroom.

selling mine for some st8 150s
By: rolo
Ok so technics have had 30 years to prove there built well and relaible, but when you observe the quallity of the techs and then you observe the quallity of the st8 100 & and st8 150 range from stanton the quallity is there aswell especially the 150s,
a)150s have 4.5 kg of torque com pared to the 1.6 from the techies
b)150s are made out of metal when techies are cheap plastic
c)150s have better sound quallity according to professional reviewers
d)150s have replacable signal cables & digital signal cables
e)150s are cheaper but god knows why
ive only ever used the at the moment i have technics which are brillant:) but i still deply envy my mate who has the 150s

Like the others said, the best decks out there. The "feel" is unmatched. If your unsure whether or not to get them, your not in the right business - quality assured!!

Fantastic bit of Kit
By: James
All i can say is, brilliant. I was in 2 minds weather to get the ttx-1 but soo many people were tallin me to go with technics. Il never look back. Made the wight choice. I cant believe the quality of the deck. Aluminium on the top. I had citronic pd1's before, these are soo much easyer to beat match with. Well worth the money.

Good but not the one
By: Danny-p
These t'tables are good compared to most but seem like belt-driven compared (exagerated) compared to the new tt-x's. Sorry guys you need to improve this player performance wise not just design wise.......

I saved up for about 2 years just 2 buy these decks. I even sold my old decks, just to put money towards my decks! And now im glad that i saved up for 2 years, no regrets whatsoever.Even thought they re £800, they are well worth it. I definately recommend these to any DJ's lookin 2 upgrade. Best decks ever. Technics 4 Life.

At DJ Store we strongly promote the idea that best people to review products
are the people that use them on a daily basis.
We want to hear your comments and we want you to share them with our customers -

You can't compare a £50 mixer with a £500 one -
so consider the price when writing.
